why viewpoint? is it not possible for some Greeks to return as communities in enclaves northward, just as Turks with their Heritance in the south.
isn't this a great way for the displaced to have the recognition they deserve?
Respect is Humility and Charity; for peace, equals as majorities, in National Assembly, showing Grace as Communities to the minorities living within their "wholes": is that not the self-representation acceptable to Turkey? why can't the Green Line remain, why can't Turkish Cypriots and Greek Cypriots be served in their own language and others, (with these "pockets", need i say the dirty word...) island wide? why can't our Republic Guarantee that we, as a member of greater Institutions, like the EU, and the UN, us the island dwellers, are Sovereign as its Steward? why can't, for this, every citizen votes once, each the same, from three slates, voting for: a Turkish Cypriot Representative, a Greek Cypriot Representative, for an Upper House divided equally by seats, led by a President whose Party has won a Majority of seats; and thirdly for the Lower House, representation by concensus, Independants through their Speaker voting as sober second thinkers, by population whatever the demographics, if it's not 12 million in two hundred years.
based on a BBF; our commitment to all Mankind, providing a definition we can demonstrate. where, as in good science, it can be emulated, held in great esteem toward bettering Humanity.
why not one State; as Individuals defending our Rights, where we can Unite toward Universal Principals.
why not within this State self-representaton as Persons, good governance sustaining two (or many) Identities, having Jurisdictional terrritories.
...but things cannot remain just the way we are. even for a warring society like the Ottomans there were outbreaks of long and unsteady peace. maybe we are due. either way, this is not a "Greek"/"Turk" issue.
