...like the gaz, when it gets here, Turkey has no doubt an intention to get some share, as though Cyprus "belongs" to her. While you may be willing to get whatever is "free", Freedom remains the big question, remind me Lordo, which side are you on? Sadly, like many in Cyprus, then, the days you talk about, we stayed, and we were betrayed.

Turkish cleric laments reaction to Charlie Hebdo attack while millions of Muslims massacred

...it is the Prophet himself who says that Muslims respect the Law of the land in which they live, to avoid what is not suitable for their lives, but most of all, to be loving; at least this is what I understand of this Faith.
I ask Mr. Gormez, where is the "good" in this revenge, where is the goodness in these men that he defends them? By any definition their acts are brutal, selfish, Criminally Psychotic, without Grace, unlike Mohammad, and his worthy depiction as a man, by Hebdo Charlie just yesterday, who forgives and who can cry.
My hope is that upon reflection, the goodness seen in People, will be as Individuals, by the Directorate of Religious Affairs, in Turkey. That for this good office, every being counts, without distinction or discrimination. This is what is worth his time and effort, because we are all equals, in our duty to God, and as Human Beings, to each other, even if as Persons there exists a wide array of choices.
I suggest that 12 million died in Muslim countries and, that millions more died too, by fighting each other; this must stop. Bigger enemies than this Ignorance exist where by Hatred, war is waged worthily, ending the Hunger and Disease.

well said Nikitas. Frankly i am surprised that GR does not agree with you, I too think that Cyprus may well do a better job at sustaining the Hellenes as a PEOPLE.
...especially since as a People, we are Cypriots, and as Persons living in this context there exists a Constituency demographically speaking that is by a large percentage, people who care about their being Greek. Like Hellenes around the world they need to feel connected to each other, not necessarily to Greece. In effect "Greekness" is bigger than what is defined geographically today as a Nation/State. Greeks can take pride in what Greeks do in Greece, but Greeks are more Citizens of the World, they come from its four corners, and for so long they did not even "have" a country; you don't have to be "Greek" to be Greek, (no less true in Greece but that is another story,) Greeks should not be reluctant to define themselves as such.

Now the important part. The will to have an independent state is totally unconnected with our ethnnic origin or background. In the last resort we want an independent country cause etsi en i kavla mas sior! and for no other reason that we have to justify to anyone.
